No the Chinese never used Galils, the Galil went into service with the Israelis in 1972, and the Chinese used Type 56 Carbines aka the Chinese SKS and the Type 56 Chinese AKs in the 50's. Haven't gotten that far in the game myself, but yeah, the Galil looks like it has the folding bipod equipped (seen below), making it the Galil ARM. The character in first person is always shown cooking the hammer between shots, but that isn't actually animated in third person. Once you upgrade the Combat Rifle with long barrel.
